Help Lisa Support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am writing you today to send wishes of health and happiness, as well as to ask for your support. We are raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through a fundraising competition called “Man & Woman of the Year.” This year I am running for Woman of the Year and would like to raise over $100,000 by end of May 2016. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is an organization committed to raising money for research and patient services, honoring area patients and their families, and finding a CURE for all forms of leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-related illnesses.

This organization is near and dear to Penncap Properties. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been an extremely important organization in the Lehigh Valley. In addition to contributing both financial and educational assistance, they’ve provided emotional support by connecting families with other patients and families who have faced the same decisions.

I realized that there are so many out there who can use the help that LLS provides. You can personally contribute to the success of the research and patient services provided by donating to this fundraising campaign. And don’t worry, over 78% of your donation goes directly to patient services and research.

Past research, made possible through individual contributions, has led to great strides in the fight against leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-related illnesses. For example, in just the last few years, researchers at Johns Hopkins and the University of Colorado have advanced promising programs to Phase II of the Therapy Acceleration program. In addition, a research team at the University of Pennsylvania Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is developing new approaches to boosting a patient’s immune system to help fight cancer. Lisa’s grandmother spent the last year of her life getting similar treatments at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.

An estimated 1,012,533 people in the United States are living with, or are in remission from, leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma.   It is for these fathers, mothers, children, and friends who will benefit from your donation. Please send all contributions (cash, check, or charge) to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1525 Valley Center Parkway, Suite 180, Bethlehem, PA 18017 (please put Lisa Pektor in the memo) or donate online at: We hope that we can write you soon to let you know that your gift helped create a cure for all other blood-related illnesses.

It means the world to us, and you are truly making a difference!
